Dr. Jia, associate professor and MD of acupuncture and tuina, has been working in the Tuina Department, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. He has followed several famous professors specialized in acupuncture and Tuina, for instance Prof. Yutan Liu, Prof. Shunyi Yang, Prof. Lixing Zhuang, Prof. Guocai Wang, and Prof Xinsheng Lai, to learn acupuncture and tuina manipulations of different schools. Since 2013, Dr Jia has been following a well-known master of orthopedics and traumatology, Prof. Jizhang Chen, to study TCM orthopedics and traumatology.

Not only knowledge and skills has Dr. Jia learned from these famous professors, enriched and developed acupressure theory, but also he has achieved great success in the research of combining acupressure with the technique of pinching the skin along the spinal column to treat menopause syndrome. Based on the disease spectrum in tuina department, he has combined the chiropractic therapy and acupressure therapy in clinical practice, which shows remarkable therapeutic effects.

Dr.  Jia is now specialized in using acupuncture, moxibustion (including pricking to bleed, fire needling, and acupressure), chiropractic therapy, and Chinese herbal medicine to treat pains (pain in the neck, shoulder, lower back, and legs, headaches, dysmenorrhea, and etc.), menopause syndrome, insomnia, neurasthenia, stroke sequelae, and etc.
